Hathaway will be co-hosting the 83rd Academy Awards, according to the organisers.



As per producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer, the "fresh, exciting and multi-talented" pair "personify the next generation of Hollywood icons", reports the BBC.



Hathaway was nominated for an Oscar in 2008 for Rachel Getting Married, while Franco is best known for his Harry Osborn role in the Spider-Man films.



Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin co-hosted this year's awards in March.



Hathaway, whose films include Alice in Wonderland, Becoming Jane and The Devil Wears Prada, has appeared on four previous Oscar telecasts.



In 2009, the 28-year-old was memorably plucked from the audience by then host Hugh Jackman to perform a musical skit based on the film Frost/Nixon.



Franco, whose other films include Milk, Pineapple Express and Eat, Pray, Love, will be making his second appearance on an Oscar show.



The 32-year-old has been tipped for a best actor nomination next year for his role as a trapped rock climber in Danny Boyle''s new film 127 Hours.



The Academy Awards will be held on 27 February at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.



Before that, Hathaway will co-host this year's Nobel peace prize concert in Norway on 11 December with actor Denzel Washington.

While Katrina Kaif is already scorching up screens with her Sheila Ki Jawani number in Tees Maar Khan, her archrival Deepika Padukone is aggressively sexing up her own act. She will feature in the title track of Rohan Sippy’s, Dum Maro Dum.
The song, Dum Maro Dum, was a smash hit in Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971), featuring Dev Anand and Zeenat Aman. The song is being re-worked by Pritam and will have Jaideep Sahni’s lyrics.
According to a source, “This track will be the climax song and will be shot at Meh**** studio, where a jungle set will be put up and will be choreographed by Ceaser. A lot of laser will be used. It will have a hip hop-cum-rave party set-up, but Deepika won’t be seen as a hippie.”

Sanjay’s gift to Manyata…

Proud father Sanjay Dutt on November 29 gifted a new Rolls Royce to wife Manyata who recently gave birth to twins.

The couple drove into the showroom in their black Audi plate number MH02BF4545 and drove off in a silver Rolls Royce plate number MH.02.CB.4545.

Manyata was greeted with a bouquet of flowers on her arrival at the showroom. The key and the car papers were handed over to Dutt by the showroom manager.

The Rs2.5 cr car cost Dutt Rs3.8 cr after the custom changes that he ordered, such as the color and interiors.

Manyata had gifted Sanjay a Bentley on his 51st birthday on July 29.

The couple was blessed with twins – son Shahraan and daughter Iqra on October 21, 2010.
