Aamir’s 3 IDIOTS to help fight terrorism
The song 'All Is Well' in the film 3 IDIOTS showed Ranchodas Shamaldas Chanchad aka Aamir Khan trying to fix a helicopter like device, which ultimately records the suicide of a classmate in its maiden flight, will now be used to fight terrorism. The device has been adopted by the security forces of India, including the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), to fight terrorism and counter-insurgency operations.

Kareena Kapoor torn between Aamir and Imran Khan
Kareena Kapoor is one of the most wanted actresses in Bollywood right now. She is one actress who has the honor of working with all the three mighty Khans of town namely Salman, Shahrukh and Aamir. Not only this, she is even enjoying working with the young Khan in town, Imran Khan.
Now the news is that Kareena Kapoor is struggling hard to manage the promotions of her movie ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ with Imran Khan and post production works of the movie ‘Talaash’ along side Aamir Khan.
Yet the actress seems to be caught between Aamir Khan and Imran Khan as both of mama and nephew keep teasing her that she prefers one over the other.
Interestingly, she has to juggle with both the films! Though EMAET is set for its release but that hasn’t reduced the burden for her as the film’s promotional events are still to be attended. And on the other end, Aamir is keeping her busy for the post production of Talaash.
The actor Imran Khan said that he loved to tease Kareena Kapoor.
“I love teasing her about how she has no time for me and is giving all her attention to mamu (uncle) and his film. It’s great fun,” said Imran Khan.
Kareena Kapoor doesn’t mind the uncle and the nephew ganging up on her as both of them are her favorite co-stars.
“They both are adorable as co-stars. It’s a pleasure working with them. I have already worked with Aamir in 3 Idiots (2009). I love both of them equally,” Kareena Kapoor said.
Surprise – Speedy Singhs breaks 3 Idiots record in Canada
01 month ago

Youngster Vinay Virmani has a reason to smile. In fact not just smile but in fact laugh all the way to the bank. His crossover film Breakaway [released as Speedy Singhs in India three months ago] has struck gold in Canada. The film has not just turned broken records created by quite a few Bollywood films in Canada; it has also turned out to be the highest grossing Canadian film in the year 2011.
Confirms Mark Sloane, the Canadian distributor of the film (which was co-produced by Akshay Kumar), "Breakaway has had tremendous success in Canada and we are very pleased to have been a part of it. We had released the film in 51 theatres across Canada on 30th September this year and the box office returns ever since then have exceeded expectations. The film is now the highest grossing Canadian English language film of 2011."
Boasting of an opening weekend of $546,866, the film has managed a life span total of $1,881,972 just in Canada. In comparison, the lifespan total of Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots in Canada is $1,124,679 whereas other biggies like Akshay's own Singh Is Kinng [$874,776] and Shah Rukh Khan's Veer Zaara [$866,107] have also been left behind.
Water by Deepa Mehta had held the record for being one of the highest grossers cross cultural films in Canada. However that record [$1,806,331] has been quashed too. Add Sloane, "When compared to some other biggies coming from Bollywood this year, we have done really well. While Bodyguard had ended its run at $579,070, Ra.One too had folded up at $659,729."
Naturally, Vinay is thrilled with the results. Though he was a tad disappointed with the lukewarm show of the film when released as Speedy Singhs in India, his faith in the film has been reinforced with Breakaway finding audience as well as sustained fans and followers in Canada.
"It was always a risk to release a film with ice hockey as its central theme in India. Its okay though, as the exposure was fantastic. I was noticed in India while out here in Canada, the film has managed to find a cult following for itself", says Vinay over phone, "Do you know that many ice hockey lovers out here are wearing the T-Shirts with Speedy Singhs written on them? I am glad that the film has managed to make a mark. Its box office success further reaffirms my belief in the film and its subject. It has been a proud journey for us to have made a true crossover affair with an international cast and crew coming together."
Vinay has definite plans to take things forward in Bollywood as well. "Yes, I am in conversations and there are things progressing well. You would hear a concrete announcement very soon", promises Vinay.
Saif is the number one hero!
Actor Kareena Kapoor may be reigning queen of Bollywood with a string of hits like Bodyguard, RA.One, 3 Idiots and Golmaal 3, to her credit, but the 'Heroine' feels that beau Saif Ali Khan is the number one hero.
Things are going great guns for Kareena be it in terms of her box office success or propositions that are lined up for release including Agent Vinod opposite Saif besides Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine and Talaash opposite Aamir Khan.
"I don't think I am heroine number one. But Heroine is a very special to me. After a long time, I am doing a performance oriented role. It is not for me to tell whether I am number one or not...I cannot say it," Kareena told reporters here after the launch of the first look of Karan Johar's forthcoming film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, where she is playing the leading lady opposite Imran Khan.
Though, Karan and Imran both felt Kareena is heroine number one "she never says this on public platform..," Karan chuckled.
Kareena took over as Bhandarkar's new leading lady for Heroine after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan announced her pregnancy in June this year.
About her success mantra, Kareena said, "I feel I just have been lucky enough to get some good films, good directors, good scripts and good co-stars. For me Saif is the number one hero."

Kareena: ‘Saif was born to act in Agent Vinod’
02 months ago
Over the last couple of years, Kareena Kapoor has been part of some of the biggest box office hits including 3 Idiots (2009) and Bodyguard (2011). And now, she is hoping that boyfriend Saif Ali Khan's action extravaganza, Agent Vinod, will join the list. The film releases early next year.
"I have complete faith in the film, Saif and its director Sriram Raghavan. If you ask me, I believe that Saif was born to do the role (of a spy in Agent Vinod). Now, let's hope for the best. I am keeping my fingers crossed," says Kareena, whose next lot of films also includes Madhur Bhandarkar's controversial Heroine.
Ask Kareena about being a part of big hits and she immediately says: "It's definitely overwhelming. And it's actually four big hits including Golmaal 3," says the actor with a smile. "But I want to keep pushing the envelope and aim to continue doing some great work."
Although Kareena has been a part of back-to-back biggies, she refuses to get into competition mode with other female stars. "I only see the camera. I have always been content in my own space and the only competition I have is with my own performances. I aim to outdo myself with every film. Others can worry about being on top," she says.
Interestingly, before the Kapoor girl proved her merit, the industry considered only Hema Malini in the hit league, when she delivered back-to-back successes in the 1970s like Sholay, Dus Numbri, Haath Ki Safai, Dream Girl and Sanyasi. But what Kareena is most excited about is the diverse roles she's given by filmmakers, and the audience's acceptance.
"I consider myself lucky that 3 idiots is the biggestever grosser. Bodyguard had the year's biggest opening while Golmaal is one of the most popular franchises. So both the diversity and acceptance are very satisfying," says the actor. In the meantime, she's working hard on her role in Heroine, which experienced a major setback when lead star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan quit after announcing her pregnancy.
Ask Madhur whether he's glad to finally have his lead star in place and he says, "We had discussed a lot of films, but nothing materialised. But I am sure Heroine will be a landmark in Kareena's career."
