Arshad Warsi wants Salman Khan to marry soon

0

The year 2012 seems to be a big fat wedding year for our Bollywood celebs. 2012 will see some of B-town’s hottest stars tie the knot. After Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza who are all set to tie knots on Feb 3, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor would be the next Bollywood couple to walk down the aisle. There are rumors that John Abraham and Priya Runchal are all set to take the nuptial route.

But amongst all, there is one actor who seems not at all interested in the institution of marriage. He is none other than Salman Khan who seems to have no such wedding plans in near future. While his contemporaries have long tied the knot, Salman Khan remains the chronic bachelor. But the B-town actors are desperately waiting to see Salman Khan as a wedding groom.

Earlier Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has said quite a few times that he wants his buddy Salman to get married. Now Arshad Warsi wants Salman Khan to get married.

“I want Salman Khan to get married now,” Arshad told reporters here last night, at the `sangeet` ceremony of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D`souza.

Well, it’s not only Arshad, but also all Sallu fans are eargerly waiting for the same.

Ajay & Tusshar are 2012′s ‘Singhs’

0
Playing a Sardar in a Bollywood film is definitely the 'in' thing. Akshay Kumar started it all, Saif Ali Khan joined in as well, Salman Khan played one in HEROES and Ranbir Kapoor in ROCKET SINGH. Going by the current fad, Ajay Devgn is all set to play a sardar in his upcoming film SON OF SARDAR. Not only Devgn, but the most unsuspecting Tusshar Kapoor is also happy to wear a pagdi in his next release - CHAAR DIN KI CHANDNI.

''Yes, of late quite a few B-town folks are playing a Sikh protagonist'', says a filmmaker, ''Earlier it was pretty much the territory of the likes of Dharmendra and Sunny Deol who were rightly known as the 'sons of soil'. Other senior actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt too have experimented by playing a Sardar. However in recent times it is Akshay Kumar who started the trend with SINGH IS KINNG and now other actors are hopping on to the bandwagon as well.''

TUSSHAR KAPOOR and AJAY DEVGN

It seems that Ajay will be well-liked by the audience in a sardar look. ''Ajay is playing the central protagonist in SON OF SARDAR and has already shot for it in Punjab. He had earlier played a Sikh protagonist in THE LEGEND OF BHAGAT SINGH but it was a relatively serious affair. SON OF SARDAR has been designed as a full-on-entertainer though and Ajay has gone an extra mile to get the nuances of a Sikh character right'', says a source from the production team.

On the other hand CHAAR DIN KI CHANDNI would see Tusshar Kapoor as a sardar for a major segment of the film. An out and out comic affair, the film is directed by Samir Karnik who hit gold with his full-on Punjabi drama in YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA. Though he doesn't have Deols on his side this time around, the filmmaker is hoping that 'being Punjabi' would reap benefits for him yet again for his latest outing.

Tusshar says, ''The film has a North Indian backdrop to it and I had fun playing this character here. Personally for me comedy has always worked and Samir has made sure that this one is a full-on masala out and out romantic comedy. CHAAR DIN KI CHANDNI is totally my genre and honestly, this film is the best thing that could have happened to me in the recent times.''

A couple of years ago it was Saif Ali Khan who turned sardar for one of the two characters that he played in LOVE AAJ KAL. It was a serious character but Arshad Warsi got into a comical zone when he portrayed a sardar character in DOUBLE DHAMAAL. This year though it would be the turn of Ajay Devgn and Tusshar Kapoor to get into the Sikh zone.

Revealed – The plot of Sunny’s BHAIYYAJI SUPERHIT

0
Now this one caught us really off guard. For his upcoming film BHAIYYAJI SUPERHIT, Sunny Deol is going through two major changes. First and foremost he won't be playing a Punjabi in the film and secondly, he is playing a Don who, hold your breath, wants a film to be made on himself.

Informs our well placed source, "With the success of YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA behind him, Sunny has made up his mind to do more action-comedies. One such change is to stop playing a Punjabi in each of his films, as is the case with BHAIYYAJI SUPERHIT. Secondly he would be seen as a Varanasi based Don who dreams of seeing himself on the big screen."

SUNNY DEOL

To facilitate this mad affair, he seeks the services of Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor who are playing a director and a writer respectively. While Arshad has played an actor in SHORT KUT - THE CON IS ON (where Akshaye Khanna had played a director), Tusshar was seen as a writer in his last release THE DIRTY PICTURE.

0
If all goes well, Munnabhai will return from his 6-year exile, after his latest outing in Lage Raho Munnabhai, reports TOI.

Rajkumar Hirani's superhit series will hit the floors in 2012, according to the daily. Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will reprise their roles of Munna and Circuit respectively and the movie will be titled Munnabhai Ki Aatma Katha, says the paper.

"Sanjay and Arshad are returning to play Munna and Circuit. We are developing the script right now, and the film should start in 2012," Vidhu Vinod Chopra confirmed to the daily.

Rumour mills were earlier abuzz that Aamir Khan will replace Sanjay Dutt as Munnabhai. But the reports were dismissed.

Munnabhai's first installment Munnabhai MBBS released in 2003.

I am the dirtiest actor of Bollywood: Vidya Balan

0

One can like her or dislike her, but can’t ignore her! Yes, Vidya Balan’s latest character in The Dirty Picture, reportedly based on Silk Smitha 'Reshma,' has become the irresistible talk of the town. Interestingly, before getting a certificate from someone else, the sultry actress has proclaimed herself to be the dirtiest actor of Bollywood.

“I am the dirtiest actor in Bollywood,” exclaims Vidya. If that is not enough, the actress also poses a dirty look and says, “Iss se dirty kuch hosakta hai (sic).”

Vidya is renowned for playing a variety of roles since she began her career in Bollywood with Parineeta. Vidya showed her dirty side along with Naseerudin Shah and Arshad Warsi in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Ishqiya. In the same film, Vidya also went ahead to abuse on-screen in the film, which very few actresses have managed to do so far.

Now, it will be interesting to watch what the character of Reshma has in store for audience, besides skin show and ultra-sensuous chemistry between Vidya and Naseerudin.

Arshad Warsi: Daddy ho!

0
Baap ho to Arshad Warsi jaisa, says my Nautanki Naari from Lokhandwala. She's found that the actor, who's currently filming Zilla Ghaziabad where he plays a baddie, has been babysitting his two kids at home.

His wife Maria is out on a project and he has taken over her role at home. After returning from work in the wee hours, he goes off to the gym, works out, takes a shower and hits the bed. He won't rise until his little ones crawl into bed with him. Then, he wakes up to make breakfast and ready them for the day.

Awww! Yeh sab bhi karna padta hai. Maybe he can give some tips to the new daddy Abhishek Bachchan, no? After all such is life dearies!
