Veena trying to do a Vidya Balan!

Pakistani actress Veena Malik seems to be following Viday Balan's footsteps. She has finished shooting for three Bollywood films, "Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai", "Zindagi 50-50" and "Mumbai 125 km", and says all are female centric movies.

"I have always tried to choose and sign such films which have a female-oriented character, where the script is based on the female protagonist," Veena told reporters here.

"Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai" is a comedy, "Zindagi 50-50" is an issue-based drama and "Mumbai 125 km" is a suspense-thriller.

Veena is now shooting for "Rajani Ki Lag Gai".

"I don't have a hero in any one of films I have signed till now except 'Supermodel'. Every film is the story of a girl and the whole story revolves around her."

She has teamed up with Ashmit Patel in "Supermodel" - the two became close when they featured in the reality show "Bigg Boss 4".

Pakistani actress Veena Malik, whose nude photos in a magazine had created rage in the whole country recently, made an appearance at Dailybhaskar office and got candid about her relationships and the recent controversy.
When asked about her plans to enter the Swayamvar reality show this season, she said, “ I am hopeful that I will get my Mr. Right in Swayamvar. " Speaking her heart out, Veena said, “I liked Ashmit and he liked me too. We had a relationship, but it didn’t work. I still love him. But I have decided to move on as I believe in the institution of marriage and thus hopeful about the Swayamvar’.

Veena exclaimed that she still believes in love and wanted to give love another chance through the Swayamvar. She added, “I want a rich husband, who can take proper care of my needs”.

When asked about what qualities her future husband should possess, she said, “He should love me unconditionally and should not be in awe of my success and fame.”

Veena Malik sues FHM over morphed pic

Pakistani actor Veena Malik has filed a defamation suit against an Indian magazine for a "morphed" cover photo of her posing nude with the initials of Pakistan's intelligence agency on her arm.

Malik's spokesman, Sohail Rasheed, said on Monday that the actor was seeking 100 million rupees ($2 million) in damages from FHM India, whose editor insists the cover shoot was genuine and consensual.

"The picture has been morphed," Rasheed said in Islamabad, adding that the magazine had targeted Malik's "credibility and character."

The magazine's December issue has yet to hit news stands. But a preview of the cover on its website triggered a media frenzy.

FHM India editor Kabeer Sharma told AFP at the weekend that he was mystified by Malik's allegations. "Maybe she is facing some kind of backlash, so maybe that's why she is denying it. We have not photoshopped or faked the cover. This is what she looks like, she has an amazing body," Sharma said.

In his Twitter feed on Monday, Sharma said he would release a series of photos from the shoot proving his version of the story.

While Malik's pose on the cover preserves a scant degree of modesty, any nudity is still very much frowned upon in conservative India -- and indeed in Muslim-majority Pakistan.

What has raised more eyebrows was her arm sporting the initials ISI -- the acronym for Inter-Services Intelligence, Pakistan's spy agency.

Nuclear-armed India and Pakistan have gone to war three times and the ISI has been routinely accused by New Delhi of masterminding militant attacks on Indian soil.

Sharma said the idea had been to take an ironic swipe at India's obsession with the ISI.

A tag line on the cover that points to the initials, reads: "Hand in the end of the world too?"

"People, especially young people in both countries, want to move past this kind of thinking," the editor said.

"It's a very powerful picture -- it took a lot of guts for her to do that. It shows a powerful, sexy woman not afraid to speak her mind."

Malik is already well known in India for appearing on Bigg Boss, the country's version of the television reality show Big Brother.

She incurred the wrath of hardline Islamic clerics in Pakistan for her performance on the show, during which she indulged in several intimate scenes with Indian actor Ashmit Patel that included massaging his head and neck.

Veena Malik finalised for fourth season of ‘Swayamvar’

Pakistani actor Veena Malik is all set to be part of the fourth season of television reality show Swayamvar.

Swayamvar is a show where contestants perform tasks and woo the hopeful bride or groom in return for their hand in marriage.

"For this season, Veena has been finalised. She is very much popular and people want to know more about her," a source said.

The other names that were doing the rounds were of TV actress Shweta Tiwari's estranged husband Raja Chaudhary and singer Mika.

Earlier, Veena appeared in the fourth season of controversial reality show Big Boss, and grabbed limelight for her love affair with actor Ashmit Patel after she ended her relationship with Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif.

The show started in India in 2009 with reality TV queen and item dancer Rakhi Sawant choosing Elesh Parujanwala as her groom, followed by late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul, who kept his promise and married Dimpy Mahajan from the show.

The last season saw television actress Ratan Rajput getting engaged to Abhinav Sharma.

Pakistani actress Veena Malik and Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel visited the world’s famous dargah Ajmer Sharif at Rajasthan on October 12 to put in motion rumours of their relationship. Both were seen getting cozy to each other and snuggling in each others arms in a reality show Bigg Boss 4, where they had shared very close bond with each other. But they claimed their relationship as friendship. Both visited the Ajmer dargah to seek blessings for future. Mr. Syed Afsar ali Nizami, dargah incharge is also seen in the picture.
