Actress Sonakshi Sinha is all set to essay the role of a gangster’s moll in the sequel to ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’, opposite Akshay Kumar.
“Its official! @sonakshisinha is part of one of the films I’m looking forward to watching the most. ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI..AGAIN,” said Sonakshi Sinha’s brother, Luv on Twitter.
After playing similar characters in Dabangg and upcoming films Rowdy Rathore and Joker she will work opposite Akshay kumar one again. In Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2, Akshay Kumar will play an underworld don Shoaib and Sonakshi will be featured as Mandakini who falls in love with Shohaib. The film will also star Imran Khan who will play Akshay’s rival.
Earlier it was suggested Sonakshi was not sure about playing Akshay kumar’s girlfriend because of the bold scenes involved however the directors have decided to edit the scenes and Sonakshi is happy with the new decision.
Reportedly, earlier Kareena Kapoor and Kangana Ranuat were approached for this role. This is Sonakshi’s third outing with Akshay. She has teamed up with the ‘Khiladi’ in Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’ and Prabhu Deva’s ‘Rowdy Rathore’. Both the films are slated to release this year.
The sequel to ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi and Imran Khan in lead roles and will be directed by Milan Luthria. Akshay will be playing Shoaib, a character modelled on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in the movie.

While Imran won the worst actor for his performance in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Deepika was named the worst actress for her role in Aarakshan.
Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One was named the worst film while its helmer Anubhav Sinha won the worst director Golden Kela award this evening.
The worst supporting actor award was given to Prateik Babbar for his roles in Dum Maaro Dum and Aarakshan.
Kanti Shah, producer and director of a bevy of B-grade Hindi films, was given the Platinum Kela award for his excellence in cinema.
"I'm feeling good at being invited at the event. It's special because its been organised by true fans of my style of movie-making. I have been to other award shows as well, but this definitely is special," said Shah on receiving the award.
Besides honouring the worst in cinema, the awards also appreciated Arunodoy Singh's performance in Sudhir Mishra-directed Yeh Saali Zindagi by handing him the Anti-Kela. The trophy was presented to him by last year's winner, Abhishek Sharma (director, Tere Bin Laden).
"I think Sudhir should be the one accepting this. I'm quite honored and amused with this award. It's good to see this movie getting some recognition," said Arunoday.

Prateik Babbar’s loss is Imran Khan’s gain

Bollywood's chocolate boy Imran Khan has been on cloud nine after back to back hits 'Delhi Belly', 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' and 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu'. Now he has another reason to rejoice as he will be working with critically acclaimed director Tigmanshu Dhulia whose latest venture 'Paan Singh Tomar' has been applauded in national and international circuits.
According to the latest reports Imran Khan is replacing Prateik Babbar, who was Tigmanshu's original choice when he planned the movie two years ago.
Prateik is bound to be heart-broken by the replacement, since he like Imran had started his career with Aamir Khan Production's 'Jane Tu Ya Janne Naa' around 4 years ago.
The decision to rope in Imran has been taken by the producers as they are worried about Prateik's flop streak. Apart from plummeting at the box-office, Prateik's 'Ekk Deewana Tha', 'My Friend Pinto' and 'Aarakshan' have also marred his career.
Prateik had shown promise in 'Jane Tu Ya Janne Naa' and earned accolades for his performance in 'Dhobi Ghat'. Moreover, he had big banners like Aarakshan and Ek Deewana Tha in the pipeline and hence was considered for the part.
Since Prateik's career is spiraling the producers thought of bringing in a more bankable star on board.
"So after a couple of Prateik's films not working well, they thought of casting a more bankable actor in the lead.
And since Imran has been confirmed for the sequel of Milan Luthria's upcoming gangster film, Ekta thought he would be suitable for Dhulia's film as well," reveals our informer.

Who will win the race, Katrina, Deepika, Sonam or Sonakshi???

Kareena Kapoor was supposed to be playing Mandakini in the sequel of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’. However, now that she has backed out, the filmmakers are finding it very difficult to find a leading lady.
Buzz has it that Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, and Sonakshi Sinha are in the race to play the leading lady in the film.
Who is Mandakini?
Well, she is Bollywood actress who shot to fame after her film Ram Teri Ganga Maili. She was then said to have been involved with Dawood Ibrahim. In OUATIM 2, Akshay Kumar’s has been finalised to play Dawood. Apart from Akki, Imran Khan is also a part of the film
Chances are high for Sonakshi Sinha to win the race as she is not as busy as that of Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone, who are relatively busier these days.
Director Milan Luthria said that as of now, he is giving time to the movie’s script and other details and will soon announce the cast.
Imran Khan replaces Shahid Kapoor in ‘OUATIM 2′

Bollywood actor Imran Khan who is riding high after a string of consecutive hits like Delhi Belly, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu has reportedly turn baddie for the sequel of the 2010 film “Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai”.
He will play a don in parallel lead with Akshay Kumar. The movie was to feature Shahid Kapoor earlier but now Imran has been finalised for it. Imran Khan will make his first foray into a franchise product with the mammoth sequel.
Akshay Kumar will play Dawood Ibrahim’s part and Imran Khan has been asked to play Chhota Rajan, Dawood’s right hand man turned arch rival in the flick. Kareena Kapoor is playing female lead in this movie.
“Talks were on with Shahid but we have decided on Imran now. Imran loved the script, and we are very gung-ho about this project. The audience will get to see a different Imran,” Girish Johar, head of acquisition and distribution, Balaji Motion Pictures, told IANS.
It is also heard that it is Kareena Kapoor who has recommended Imy’s name for the movie. According to an insider associated with the film, "Kareena feels that Imran would bring novelty to the character inspired by Rajan. More so because he has played strong romantic roles in most of his films."
Akshay is currently working out to get the rugged look required for him to play Dawood. Imran Khan too will require to work on his Chhota Rajan avatar,” added the source.
The project will be directed by Milan Luthria, who is basking in the success of “The Dirty Picture”.
The prequel - “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai” - had Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi together on screen. Their mentor-turned-rival chemistry as Sultan Mirza and Shoaib, respectively, was appreciated.
Producers are hoping that the Akshay-Imran pairing works wonders for the sequel too.
Imran Khan is reportedly suffering from Ear pain

Imran Khan has been roped in for Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola. Vishal was impressed with Imran after watching his films like Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and thought he could suit the part. Anushka Sharma is playing female lead in this movie. This would be the first time that Imran and Anushka would be paired together in a film.
Imran Khan, 29, will be seen as a rugged Haryanvi in Vishal Bhardwaj's comedy Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. Not only was he asked by the director to beef up his scrawny physique to play the character and to grow a beard, he also had to get his ears pierced since his character wears ear-rings throughout the film.
Imran pierced his ears and while shooting, he experienced severe pain in the ear lobes. A doctor had to be called on the sets to examine Imran's ears. And it was discovered that both his ears were festering with raw wounds.
"Vishal Bhardwaj panicked and decided to knock off the ear-rings from Imran's character. Sensitivity to ear-piercing is quite common when done at a later stage in life. Imran's ears got really bad and Vishal Bhardwaj told him to take off the earrings and to take a few days off until his ears healed," said a source.
Talking about the pain he is going through after getting his ears pierced, Imran said, “To get into the character for my film Matru Ki Bijle ka Mandola, I had to pierce my ears and wear gold studs. But right after few days, I went through tremendous pain as there was some infection that was caused. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wear those studs and I had to wear clip-ons.
Imran, who is just four years old in the film industry, refused to take the earrings off, but agreed to wear clips on earrings.

When asked about this new pairing, to a daily Milan Luthria said, “By casting Akshay and Imran together for the first time, we’ve pulled off the casting coup of the year.
