Have the Bachchans and the Kapoors finally patched up?

0

At a recent event, Karisma Kapoor and Jaya Bachchan were seen exchanging warm hugs. Have the Kapoors and the Bachchans made up, finally?

Well, at the event, Karishma Kapoor was honored style icon of the year tag.

Going back in the past, Karishma Kapoor and Abhishek bachchan were all set to tie the knot. The duo were engaged too. However, for some unknown reason, the engagement was called off.

Now, we are guessing, all is well between both the families. And that was pretty clear when Karishma walked up to Jaya Bachchan and cordially gretted her, following it with a hug and a few exchange of words.

It is heard that Lolo even congratulated Jaya on the arrival of her granddaughter and in return, Jaya inquired after her and her two children.

Hopefully, this pleasant gesture will bury all the hatchet between the two families and get tham back to talking terms.

Mum-to-be, actress Aishwraya Rai-Bachchan’s turning a year older today and is glowing with happiness with all the pampering she’s been treated to in the past few months. Also, with the due date of the actor (said to be sometime in the second week of November) drawing close, apparently, hubby actor Abhishek Bachchan’s already worked out his shoot schedules to ensure that there are no outdoor shoots happening at least for a month now. He will be a busy guy today, as sources reveal that apparently there’s a birthday bash being planned for wifey dear later in the evening. Interestingly, there was much buzz about the baby expected to be a 1/11/11 baby and share the mum’s birthdate. But now insiders suggest that the baby is most likely to arrive sometime in mid-November.

About the party being planned to celebrate the day, sources say that it is expected to be a grand affair. “The Bachchans are apparently planning to host a get-together in Jalsa today in the evening. Besides close family members, several people from the industry are expected to be present as well,” says a source. According to another insider, Ash was keen to start her day by visiting a temple as she does every year, but this time she will probably have to make do with a puja at home. “However, the Bachchans are quite a regular in these matters, so one never knows,” the insider adds.

A source, who’s been in touch with Aishwarya, says that the actor is not anxious with her due date nearing, but quite calm and extremely happy. “She is making the most of this break and enjoying being pampered by her family. In fact, all the while that Abhishek was away, he would call up every hour to check in on her, just so she not miss him being by her side,” the source revealed.

According to the source, parents-in-law Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan are apparently planning to gift their bahu expensive jewllery, while hubby Abhishek’s planning on gifting a car. Buzz is also rife that she might even be gifted a new house, though there has been no confirmation yet.

Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, who were last seen together in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2000, will be seen together again in a commercial.

Jaya Bachchan in the dock over false affidavit case

0
Well-known actress turned Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachchan is once again in the dock for allegedly swearing a false affidavit about the properties owned by her and her megastar husband Amitabh Bachchan

Lucknow district judge Shivanand Misra on Monday issued notice to Jaya Bachchan to explain why she should be criminally prosecuted for concealing certain properties owned by her husband in the statutory affidavit submitted by her together with the nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha bye-election way back in 2006.

Jaya has been summoned to the court on February 3, the next date for hearing in the case, that could cost Jaya her prized Rajya Sabha status, disclosed advocate Sangam Lal Pande, who has been spearheading the legal battle.

This follows a long cat and mouse sequence between Jaya and complainant Ameer Haider, a lesser known Congress leader from Barabanki where the undeclared plots of agriculture land were purchased by the Bachchans.

Big B refuses to work with Mallika Sherawat

0
Amitabh Bachchan has refused to share screen space with the sexy lady, Mallika Sherawat. Director Kushan Nandy has approached Big B to work in a film with the Murder actress but he said no. Big B is not keen to work with the actress who is well-known for her sexy image rather than her films.

Jaya Bachchan also holds the same view about Mallika and she has also suggested her hubby not to work with the actress who is more popular for her sexy avatar than her performance in films. Mallika has once delivered an embarrassing statement about the megastar. She said that she would like to see Mr. Bachchan running in slow motion as she feels that he would look really sexy in this action. The statement of Mallika embarrassed the actor.

Mallika already told the director that if he could get Amitabh Bachchan to act alongside her then only she would sign the project. Kushan Nandy is now looking for another actress to pair opposite Amitabh.

Katrina Kaif And Salman Khan To Play Bachchan And Jaya Bachchan on The Big Screen

0

The latest buzz from B-town is that real-life couple Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan have been offered to portray the Bachchans on the big screen. What a weird idea, who would want to see this movie? But brace yourselves Kat and Sallu fans, it gets weirder! The on-and-off-screen couple wouldn’t portray Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her hubby Abhishek Bachchan, they would play Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan! Why would Katrina and Salman ever agree to such a crazy idea? And what would this movie talk about? We are confused!
But wait, it gets crazier – as if this wasn’t crazy enough! According to the buzz, Katrina would portray Big B and Salman would play Jaya. We do like alternative movies with a plot twist or two, but this is just odd! Seeing Salman play Big B and Katrina play his wife Jaya could at least have been humorous, but the other way around? It doesn’t sound like a movie a lot of fans would enjoy.

But who knows? Maybe the film will turn out to be hilarious. After all, Big B and Abhi did something similar in the movie Paa in which Abhishek played the father and Amitabh his son. It seems like the Bachchans are really into these types of movies! Getting the look for Bachchan senior’s role was a very complicated affair.

Big B even took to his blog to explain how much fun he had: “my rituals today were guided by the extensive hours at the studio, a major portion of which were in front of the makeup mirror, getting the face plastered with silicon. It took 4 hours for it all to come on and another hour to take it off. ”

We can only imagine that something similar would have to be worked out if Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan were ever to portray Bachchan senior and his wife on the silver screen! Would you like to see Kat and Sallu play Big B and Jaya in a movie? Drop us a line.
