Boman Irani’s son making his acting debut in ‘SOTY’

Another star kid is making his Bollywood debut. His name is Kayoze Irani. The son of Boman Irani, one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood. While he is busy entertaining the audience, the time has come for his son to join the club. Kayoze Irani will be introduced in filmmaker Karan Johar`s next offering, `Student of the Year`(SOTY).

Kayoze started off as an assistant director for the recently released Kareena Kapoor-Imran Khan starrer `Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu`.

Now, the budding director has been signed for Johar`s film but his role has not been disclosed yet.

"Ok... thats Kayoze Irani!!! @kayoze... Boman Irani`s super talented son who we are introducing in SOTY," Johar wrote on Twitter and posted a picture of the newbie on the micro blogging site.

The film also marks the debuts of Alia Bhatt, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, son of director David Dhawan and newcomer Siddharth Malhotra.

Both Siddharth and Varun have previously worked as assistant directors under Johar during the making of his 2010 film, `My Name is Khan`.

As the shooting for the film is underway Johar is looking forward to a song choreographed by Farah Khan.

"Am off for another outdoor of SOTY... am filming my favourite song in the album with Farah!!! On flight with the newbies... will connect soon!," he said.

There is a buzz that the song with the three debutantes Varun, Alia and Siddharth would be a high school party gig, ala Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee`s ? `Koi Mil Gaya Mera Dil Gaya` from Johar`s directorial debut movie, `Kuch Kuch Hota Hai`.

SOTY is said to be a romantic comedy and is being produced by Shah Rukh`s Red Chillies Entertainment and Johar`s Dharma Productions.

Lovebirds Riteish-Genelia get Married in granduer

It's smiles all the way for the happy couple Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh. The hot long time girlfriend- boyfriend Genelia D’ Souza and Ritesh Deshmukh tied the knot yesterday in traditional Marathi style at a five-star hotel here in the presence of leading figures from Bollywood and the world of politics. Almost the entire Bollywood fraternity was present to witness the first big wedding of the year.

Riteish, wearing a white sherwani and red 'feta' (turban), entered the hotel on a 'ghodi'. Bride Genelia's maharashtrian look was styled by Lulla’s daughter, Nishika. The 'baaraat' started from the grounds near Grand Hyatt and reached the hotel. The actor's politician father Vilasrao Deshmukh was dressed in a brown sherwani.

Among those present were Sharad Pawar, Prithviraj Chavan, Praful Patel, Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kajol and Ajay Devgn.

One of the first one to arrive was actor Jacky Bhagnani. Close pal Ashish Choudhary was seen hiding the groom’s shoes from the bride’s sisters. Riteish’s co star from ‘Heyy Baby’, Akshay Kumar and the film’s director, Sajid Khan were seen chatting up with Jackie Shroff.

Dressed in a white jacket and black trousers, Shah Rukh Khan walked in with wife Gauri and daughter Suhana. While Gauri matched her outfit with her hubby, and wore a white and gold lehenga, daughter Suhana chose to wear a bright pink lehenga.

Soon after the wedding, actor Shahid Kapoor tweetd, “And G is married !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbeleivable. :)(sic)”.

Riteish Deshmukh tweeted a picture of his and his new bride with the caption ‘Mr &Mrs Deshmukh’.

The wedding celebrations started on Tuesday with a grand Sangeet ceremony which was attended by the entire film industry and was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar.

The couple genelia and ritesh first met each other in the shooting of film Tujhe Meri Kasam before nine years. Over the last few years, they were spotted together in many functions and programs.

With her wedding almost knocking on the doors now, there are several things on Bolly beauty Genelia D’Souza’s mind. The biggest question that arises ahead of her wedding is that whether she will continue acting after marriage. Genelia has a good fan following and she has charmed all and one with her acting in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ and ‘Force’. Down south, she has also created a niche and Genelia doesn’t want to disspoint her audience by quitting films. She will take a short break after marriage but will resume work like Kajol whom she idolizes.

Genelia will follow her idol Kajol’s footstep and would not stop acting after marriage. She says, “I will be the same after marriage like I am now.” Genelia will follow Kajol and Aishwarya. They have taken a break from acting after marriage, and then return into mainstream and ruled the silver screen again.

Says Genelia, “I am inspired by Kajol, she is my favourite and I want to follow in her footsteps”. Kajol is Genelia’s choice for another reason. They share the same birthday.

Genelia will be seen with Riteish in ‘Tere Naal Pyar Ho Gaya’ soon after their wedding.

Ritiesh and Genelia admitted their love for each other after eight years of dating. The duo started their career with the film, ’Tujhe Meri Kasam’. It was a debut film for the couple and they instantly fell for each other while shooting for the film. The couple will be next seen in ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya’.

Madhuri Dixit Wax Statue at Madam Tussauds

The award winning actress Madhuri Dixit-Nene was today named by Madame Tussauds London as the latest Indian film star to join the A-list line up at the world famous attraction. Madhuri, famed for her dazzling dancing, has already given a sitting to the Madame Tussauds' sculptors in Mumbai and is expected to unveil her likeness in London in March.

To ensure total authenticity, Madhuri will be closely involved in the creation process, collaborating with the team to agree the pose and even donating a Manish Malhotra sari for her figure to wear. Her hair will flow loosely over her shoulders, styled to show off her long tresses to full effect.

No more six pack abs for ‘loverboy’ Shah Rukh

Shah Rukh Khan is making a comeback as a romantic hero, shedding his muscular look.

Filmmaker Yash Chopra and his production house YRF is believed to be penning down a script with Shah Rukh Khan playing a romantic hero opposite Katrina Kaif.

Shah Rukh, who has not been so successful with action oriented subjects, is always remembered for his romantic stint with Kajol in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Dil Toh Pagal Hai with Madhuri.

According to sources, now the actor has already started adding some flesh to his body and is shedding those six pack abs he had formed for Om Shanti Om and Ra One.

Within next three months, SRK's muscular look is likely to disappear with SRK gearing up to sport a 'boy next door' look, which is going to charm everyone.

The creative team has already chalked out an ordinary lovable look for SRK, for which the actor may likely rope his DDLJ team and friend Karan Johar to design his look.

SRK-Salman: Copy cat syndrome or coincidence?

Salman Khan's cricket team's latest poster bears striking resemblance to Shah Rukh Khan's hit film, Chak De India ctor Salman Khan's publicity poster for his team, Mumbai Heroes, bears striking resemAblance to actor Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster Chak De India's promotional poster.

Salman's Heroes did not perform well during the last Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) matches so this time he promise to bounce back. The matches will be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on January 13 and 14 next year. But a publicity poster reminds one of Chak De India where Shah Rukh was seen standing in the centre with his girl's hockey team behind him.

"At first sight, the poster indeed looks similar, but it's not the stars' fault. Design team should have done the research and come up with something new," says a publicity designer on condition of anonymity. Film expert Atul Mohan feels otherwise. "I would say it's nothing but a coincidence as you can't think of much creative designs with 11 team members and one face who is the captain or the brand ambassador. The creative has to look serious and one can't afford to have funny creative in the name of being different," says Mohan.

In the past, the actors seem to have become each other's inspiration a number of times. The last coincidence was the train sequence in Salman's film Bodyguard that looked like an exact replica of SRK's famous train sequence in the climax from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.

SRK gives his hand to Kajol to board the train in DDLJ while Salman did the same with Hazel Keech in Bodyguard. Earlier this year, Salman's song, 'Character Dheela' from his film Ready had Salman dressed as legendary actor Raj Kapoor, exactly how SRK did for his song 'Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte' from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Earlier, Sallu did the same in a song called 'Kabhi Tu Chaliya Lagta Hai from Patthar Ke Phool.

"It's not Salman and SRK who call the shots. It's the choreographer and director who decide the theme of the song. One must stop demeaning stars by saying one copied the other or vice versa," posted a film blogger.
