Kangana Ranaut says artists are not valued in India!

According to actress Kangana Ranaut, in India, artists are given very little or no value and very often, stardom overshadows the real actors.

“I must admit that artists are not valued in this country and it’s not just actors, it also includes painters, dancers, classical singers. They are not even paid well,”

The actress was at the India Today Conclave 2012 in Delhi on Saturday.

“I started my career with theatre and my Guru kept telling me if you want to live in poverty pursue theatre and if you want to have a happy life try something else,” she added.

Stressing on the fact that stardom overshadows the real acting abilities, Kangana said,

“In Bollywood we have this funny concept of stars and actors. Sometimes your stardom really overpowers your acting abilities. It is very unfortunate but that’s the way it is.” she added.

Shiv Sainiks bring TEZZ shoot to a halt

The shooting of Ajay Devgn and Kangana Ranaut starrer TEZZ was brought to a halt for sometime by the Shiv Sainiks.

According to reports, actress Mallika Sherawat, who is doing an item number 'Laila' in the action flick, was shooting at the Filmistan Studios when some Shiv Sena members unexpectedly arrived to check on the foreigners present for the shoot. Apparently, the Shiv Sainiks didn't want foreigners to shoot for a Hindi movie in Maharashtra.

Bollywood beauty Kangna Ranaut, is now all set to play India's first female sci-fi character in Rakesh Roshan's "Krrish 2" opposite Hrithik Roshan. Kangna Ranaut who has been suffering a miserable run in Bollywood is having high hopes on this project.

Kangna Ranaut, who is playing a superwoman in upcoming movie ‘Krrish 2’, is training hard for her role. She has been heading out to the beach everyday to train for her role in the movie. Kangana Ranaut is working pretty hard these days to acquire the desi Lara Croft image before she starts shooting for Krrish 2.

She has been taking inspiration from Hollywood action flicks and is particularly inspired by Hilary Swank's role in The Next Karate Kid. A source said Kangana has been taking Karate lessons for quite some time now. Hilary had looked hot and at the same time tough in The Next Karate Kid and Kangana seems to be the perfect blend as well.

Talking about her rigorous training sessions, she said: "I wanted to be completely prepared physically before we kickstart the shooting for Krrish 2." With such gusto and ardour, it seems Kangana is all set to become the first tough woman of Bollywood.

Before Kangna, Chitrangada Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez were offered the role. While Chitrangada left due to date issues, Jacqueline left as she dint want to lock lips with the hero of the movie, Hrithik Roshan
