Katrina Kaif to pair up with Kamal Haasan

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has made her way through the Bollywood industry. When she entered she could not speak Hindi at all and did not know anything. But now she is one of the most wanted actresses of the industry. After giving back to back hits she is in high demand.
Earlier there were reports that Katrina Kaif would be roped in for the Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiyaan and the film’s director Soundarya Rajinikanth had said that talks are on and nothing has been finalized. Sources say that Katrina is working on her dates to accommodate Kochadaiyaan as she does not want miss out a Rajinikanth film.
But even before she is about to make an entry into Kollywood, luck has favored the actress once again as she is the hot favorite for Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film which is to be produced by Aascar Ravichandran titled ‘Thalaivan Irukiran’. The makers have approached Katrina for the role and she showed her interest on the project.
It is believed that Tamil film star Ajith might also be a part of the film. The film will be produced by Aascar Ravichandran. When contacted Ravichandran refuses to divulge any details of the film and the film cast but also did not deny his preference for the Bollywood diva.
Katrina whose diary is packed has considered the project and she assured that she would find out time for the project. The actress is not willing to let go of this opportunity as well.
If all goes well, the hottie might turn out to be that lucky girl to romance not just one, but two of India’s greatest veteran actors from south.

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Namaste London had created waves across the globe. To match up to the standards of the prequel, Vipul is currently engrossed finalising the cast and crew of the film.
The announcement on the same will happen around two weeks from now.

Mugdha Godse raises voice against ‘Chikni Chameli’

Katrina Kaif's item number 'Chikni Chameli' is undoubtedly the undisputed champion amongst all the item songs of 2011. First Item song from Dharma productions camp has taken the entire country by storm and has created quite a rage, especially among the Katrina fans.
The song choreographed by Ganesh Acharya has brought the original ‘Sheila’ back on fire. Katrina has perfected the mood of the song and seen the star do things one could never imagine of her. She is seen hanging from the roof, lighting up bidis, mock swigging country liquor, the works. Katrina Kaif was seen grooving to the song in a manner which is quite alien to Lavni, which is considered Maharashtra’s folk dance.
We feel that Katrina Kaif’s sizzling item number Chikni Chameli hasn’t gone down well with her other counterparts. Earlier it was Rakhi Sawant who blamed her for copying her steps and later Isha Koppikar claimed that the fun element was missing in her song!
Well, now it is another Marathi mulgi, Mugdha Godse who has expressed her thoughts on the song saying the lavani-inspired song definitely doesn't fall in the Maharashtrian folk dance space.
"I've seen the song, but it is not lavani. The item number is inspired by a very popular Marathi song titled Kombdi Pallali and it is a very catchy number. Nevertheless, it is a well done piece and hats off to Katrina for pulling off the energetic steps," she says, adding, "But lavani is very different and you will see me doing a lavani in my first Marathi film, which is the remake of Laadla”.

The unthinkable is finally happening or so we assumed. In a casting coup of sorts, when Yash Chopra announced SRK-Katrina as his next leading couple, rumour mongers started speculating the ‘side-effects’ of this volatile pairing. The movie also stars Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ co-star and Yash Raj Films favorite Anushka Sharma.
The King of Romance Shahrukh Khan may have romanced his heroines in many films but this is the very first time that Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif have been paired opposite each other. This pairing and the fact that Yash Chopra is making a come back into direction after his much acclaimed ‘Veer-Zaara’ have raised the expectations from the movie.
Until recently, all are assumed that Katarina is to be paired opposite Shahrukh in this movie. But the lead man Shahrukh says he won't romance Katrina. Recently when a tabloid quizzed SRK about acting with Katrina, and he had a shocking revelation. Instead of answering questions about Kat, all he said was, “It’s Yash Chopra’s directorial venture, Anushka is my leading lady.” He avoided talking about the other lovely lady in the film and brushed the questions off. Well, SRK’s ‘No Comment’ only gets us more curious.
Speculations will rise and eventually get wiped out, until the film is released and the real picture comes in front of us. Moviegoers wait for the lurking romantic pairing against SRK. Is it Katrina or is it Anushka?

Gulshan Grover finds its hard to kiss Katrina

Katrina Kaif debuted in Bollywood in 2003 with Boom. The fashion- gangster movie, which was mentioned as a soft porn flick in disguise by critics, bombed at the box office. The film had a lip-lock scene between the Raajneeti Actress and the bad boy of Bollywood Gulshan Grover.
Boom, is one movie that Katrina would not like to stick to her acting career since she is one of the most successful actress in Bollywood today. However, what she cannot disassociate herself from is the controversial kissing scene where Katrina Kaif smooches Gulshan Grover.
In a recent interview, Gulshan Grover revealed that the kissing scene in Kaizad’s directorial film Boom was the most difficult sequence that he had ever done in his career.
The Boom team had apparently got only two hours to shoot for the lip-lock scene in a submerged aquarium at Hotel Burj Al Arab in Dubai. Since Gulshan was extremely nervous to shoot for the scene, he along with Katrina Kaif practised the smooch several times in a closed room.
Gulshan Grover even added that while he was practising the lip-lock scene with Katrina, Amitabh Bachchan walked into the room and cheered him. This, he said only increased his stress further.
Well, the worse was yet to come….
As Katrina and Gulshan appeared before director Kaizad, he suggested that Katrina glide over the table, grab Gulshan by his collar and smooch him. Gulshan Grover was apparently shocked to hear this as he did not practice the scene.
However, Katrina Kaif was extremely confident of pulling out the show and helped him cool down. They then went ahead with the lip-lock scene that later became the most talked about sequence though the film flopped badly at the box office.

Though Ali has already composed the songs and Katrina has approved them, Katrina hasn’t found time as yet to record the numbers. Ali had wanted Kaif to be part of the composing process, but their schedules didn’t allow it.
Now, with everything else in place Katrina will be recording the songs in the coming months.
