Anushka Sharma-Suresh Raina can’t deny it anymore. Yes, they’ve been caught red-handed by the media. The duo was spotted hand-in-hand at a coffee shop in Mumbai, too besotted to notice the presence of anyone else. The couple was laughing and seemed to be relishing each and every moment of being together.

The actress had earlier denied reports of dating the cricketer, with her spokesperson saying that Anushka has no inclination towards cricket and cannot even place the cricketer (Raina) she is supposedly dating.

Earlier reports suggested that the two met in London a few months ago. Since then, the ‘good friends’ have managed to find time for each other and like hanging out together. Well, the recent episode only confirms the same. Ranveer Singh listening?

Ranveer set to enter the Shah Rukh, Hrithik League

0

Ranveer Singh is considered to be one of the most bankable actors of this generation. Though his last ‘Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl’ did not do well at the Box office, but his performance got thumbs-ups from audience and critics alike. And moreover, he had amply proved his worth by then through his debut ‘Band Baaja Baraat’. Now this ambitious young lad wants to enter the league of superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan by playing a superhero role.

Reportedly, Ranveer has been muscling through to meet producers lately, trying to convince them how he could pass off as a superhero, rather successfully. He is urging the producers to let him play a character which has special supernatural powers at his disposal. The actor is extremely kicked about the idea, so much so that he already has a script ready in his mind.

Well, we agree that Ranveer Singh sure is a talented lad but it would be too early in his career to foray into a genre whose movies take a fortune to produce. Yes, Shah Rukh and Hrithik have played superheroes but at their own expense, those were home productions. We only have to wait and see if any producer is willing to invest in the wannabe superhero.

Priyanka strikes back

Truly it is said that there are no true friends and bad enemies in Bollywood. And the industry itself is like one big incestuous family. This point was firmly driven home over the last week by that great crossover artiste Priyanka Chopra.

The sultry actress, who was declared persona non grata by most of Bollywood after she got close to Shahrukh Khan on the sets of Don 2, has worked her way back into the industry by winning over actors not known to be SRK loyalists.

Everything that Priyanka and the Bollywood Badshah did, like sticking together at parties, attending performance rehearsals together, etc., was grist to the gossip mills much to Gauri Khan’s distress. And Priyanka soon found that Bollywood’s doors were slowly closing to her allegedly at Gauri’s behest.

To start with she was not included in the Don 2 success party held at SRK’s residence Mannat. And Suzzane Roshan, who is close to Gauri, apparently struck off Priyanka’s name from her guest list as well for the party thrown to celebrate Agneepath. That apart, Priyanka was already in working relationship issues with Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. And the only actors left for her were Ranveer Singh and Aamir Khan.

But slowly and surely, the actress overcame this social boycott by Bollywood and cleverly clawed her way back.

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh who is currently shooting for Lootera has received back injuries on the sets of the film. The film is being shot in Dalhousie. Ranveer is paired with Sonakshi Sinha in the film.

So far, Ranveer Singh has been seen in just two films ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ and ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’, but is considered as a future star.

An MRI scan has been performed. The pain is in his lower back and he is under observation and has been asked to take complete bed rest.”

Is Ranveer Singh emerging as Phantom Films’ fave actor?

0

The founders of the newly launched production house, Phantom Films are so happy with the Ladies vs Ricky Bahl actor that they want him in the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster

Two-film-old Ranveer Singh’s charms are not only working onscreen but off screen too. The spirited actor is currently shooting with Sonakshi Sinha in the old alleys of Kolkata for Lootera, to be directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Phantom Films’ (a production house started by Anurag Kashyap, Madhu Mathena, Vikas Bahl, Vikram Malhotra and Motwane). But back in Mumbai the other men of this banner are conjuring up plans of a second film with the Band Baaja Baaraat debutant. It is supposed to be the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Magadheera. We were hoping that at least avant-garde filmmakers like Anurag and Vikramaditya wouldn’t fall for the trend of remaking south blockbusters, but we guess no one can resist the appeal of a guaranteed hit. Now we don’t know if Ranveer inspired them to remake the blockbuster or they have been planning to cast him from before, nonetheless, it looks like the Phantom guys have set their heart on the Lootera hero as the lead in the remake.

According to our source they feel Ranveer’s passion, enthusiasm and willingness to blaze the trail makes him the best choice for their version of the historical love story. All these are initial talks though. The Hindi script is still being written and is expected to be a modern adaptation of the reincarnation drama that is set mostly in the 1600s in the original, and also the director is far from decided. Whatever is the status, we have one question for all the parties involved that how different the Magadheera remake will be from Lootera, which is also a period love story at the end of the day?
