Actress Sonakshi Sinha is all set to essay the role of a gangster’s moll in the sequel to ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’, opposite Akshay Kumar.
“Its official! @sonakshisinha is part of one of the films I’m looking forward to watching the most. ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI..AGAIN,” said Sonakshi Sinha’s brother, Luv on Twitter.
After playing similar characters in Dabangg and upcoming films Rowdy Rathore and Joker she will work opposite Akshay kumar one again. In Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2, Akshay Kumar will play an underworld don Shoaib and Sonakshi will be featured as Mandakini who falls in love with Shohaib. The film will also star Imran Khan who will play Akshay’s rival.
Earlier it was suggested Sonakshi was not sure about playing Akshay kumar’s girlfriend because of the bold scenes involved however the directors have decided to edit the scenes and Sonakshi is happy with the new decision.
Reportedly, earlier Kareena Kapoor and Kangana Ranuat were approached for this role. This is Sonakshi’s third outing with Akshay. She has teamed up with the ‘Khiladi’ in Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’ and Prabhu Deva’s ‘Rowdy Rathore’. Both the films are slated to release this year.
The sequel to ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi and Imran Khan in lead roles and will be directed by Milan Luthria. Akshay will be playing Shoaib, a character modelled on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in the movie.
Dia Mirza Dubs Herself in Her First Bengali Film

Whenever Bollywood actresses have done Bengali films in the past, they have “never been heard”. From Aishwarya Rai (Chokher Bali) to Manisha Koirala (Khela) to Bipasha Basu (Shob Choritro Kalponik), the B-town beauties have always been dubbed by local actresses or voice artistes. But for Paanch Adhyay, her first regional film, Dia Mirza has dubbed her Bengali lines herself.
Dia, whose mother is a Bengali, plays the half-Bengali Ishita, an English school teacher, in the film co-starring Priyanshu Chatterjee and the legend Soumitra Chatterjee. “I would say my Bangla was decent before I filmed Paanch Adhyay and post filming, spending time in Kolkata, conversing with so many people during my time there, it has only gotten better. I still would like to learn to think in Bangla,” says Dia.
Paanch Adhyay, written and directed by first-timer Pratim D. Gupta, is the journey of a couple across the five chapters of their lives. “My character travels through the ups and downs of marriage and the poignancy of love… lost and found,” adds Dia. “I am at a head space now where I am looking to expand my horizons. Bangla is my mother tongue and it makes all the more special that my first regional film is Bengali.”
The film, which has music by Shantanu Moitra, is currently in post-production and is eyeing a late summer release this year in Bengal and the metro cities.

The Dirty Picture’ by Milan Luthria threw light on the life of Silk, played to perfection by Vidya Balan, an item girl who goes to her career’s peak and falls down right to the bottom and ends her life eventually. The film was the topic of discussion even before its release and was subject to several controversies.

But I want him to make the announcement. The script is very good. Raju is a very good director and a very good human being. We have spoken about a film, but it is better if he announces it."

Salman turns item boy for Ajay Devgn’s next
03 weeks ago

Film Industry is the place where relationships between people change more frequently. In an industry where friendships are fickle, some actors go out of their way to accommodate their friends and close ones. One such actor is Bollywood "Dabangg" Salman Khan.
Salman Khan is one of the most generous actors in the town and is always by his friends whenever they need him. In the past too we have seen him obliging his friends professionally.
The latest buzz is that Salman has agreed to do an item number in Son Of Sardar. That too for free. The film stars his Dabangg heroine Sonakshi Sinha and Ajay Devgn. We heard that when Ajay requested the Dabangg actor to do a special song for him, he readily agreed. Buzz has it that Salman has agreed to do an item number for good buddy Ajay Devgn that too all for free.
Interestingly, Ajay and Salman weren't as great friends when they acted together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam more than a decade back.
"They became friendly a few years ago, and it was only while working together in London Dreams that their friendship was cemented," we're told. Our source further states that Salman is not charging any money for doing the song.
Ajay, incidentally, is a staunch Shahrukh rival. SRK and Ajay have been at odds since the beginning of their careers. There have been snide remarks made on both sides and the rivalry did not abate even after SRK’s good friend Kajol wed Ajay.
Meanwhile, Salman has also started filming for his brother Arbaaz's directorial debut "Dabangg 2", scheduled to release this Christmas. Since Ajay knows that this film is very important to Salman, he'll be shooting the song in the city, so that Salman doesn't have to travel too much for it," sums up our source.

John Abraham is all set for a new innings in Bollywood - this time as a producer of films. The actor’s production house JA Entertainment Pvt. Ltd has its first release Vicky Donor next month. But, unlike other actors-turned-producers, John doesn’t always intend to act in his own productions. And the stars of his first production are TV actors Ayushmaan Khurrana and Yami Gautam. Even before its release comes the news that Producer John has another project in mind, this time Aditya Bhattacharya’s Kala Ghoda which will be under the banner of JA Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Maryam Zakaria to spice ‘Rowdy Rathore’ with hot item
03 weeks ago

Iranian beauty Maryam Zakaria, who grabbed attention by sharing screen space with Kareena Kapoor in mujra number ‘Dil Mera Muft Ka’. She also has a crucial role in the film ‘Agent Vinod’ as Farah Faqesh. Now, Maryam has also been chosen to sizzle in an item song for Rowdy Rathore to be choreographed by Prabhu Deva. Earlier Karisma Kapoor was to do the number.
Maryam was seen grooving alongside Kareena Kapoor in the spy thriller in the 'mujra' song 'Dil Mera Muft Ka' and will now sway to a fast-paced item song in 'Rowdy Rathore' directed by Prabhu Deva.
"I am doing an item song in 'Rowdy Rathore'. In the song I have an Indian look. It is a catchy, fast-paced song. I don't dance with Akshay or Sonakshi in the song," Maryam told PTI.
Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala, 'Rowdy Rathore', remake of Telugu film 'Vikramarkudu', features Akshay Kumar in a double-role opposite Sonakshi Sinha and is slated for release in June.
The item number is choreographed by none other than prolific dancer Prabhu Deva himself and Maryam admits that she struggled to get the right moves.
"Prabhudeva has a unique style of dance which is tough. I am happy that I am getting to do something different. It was a challenge to do a song choreographed by him, but I loved doing
it," she said.
Responding to a buzz that the item number was initially offered to actress Karishma Kapoor, Maryam says, "I am not aware if Karishma was offered this song or not... I am happy with the fact that this offer came to me."
Maryam is a known figure in South. This actress-model and choreographer has featured in a number of ads with noted Bollywood actors like Vivek Oberoi and Saif Ali Khan. She has also featured in various musical videos of pop artists from India and abroad. But she shot to fame with her dancing skills and will soon be seen in Agent Vinod as Farah Faqesh.
